I have a M.S. in Biology, started a Ph.D. in Ecology, coursework was statistics, modeling and simulation. I left the Ph.D. to switch into a more data science based field. Since then I have been analyzing environmental monitoring data. I’ve been looking into online Masters programs in biostatistics; however, the courses seem redundant to what I have already taken. I’ve been working with R for a decade, I have some experience with SAS but it’s rusty.
Should I focus on trying to get an entry-level position, do another Masters even it’s just for the accreditation, work on SAS certificates?
