When should I consider Fisher’s exact test over approximate tests commonly used for A/B testing?

Have a few questions about exact tests like Fisher’s test: I understand exact test statistic doesn’t rely on any distribution and CLT. But does this mean it is preferred when the sample size is small? If so, why it’s not preferred when the sample size is large? How do I explain its p-value? Should I take sample size into account when interpreting p-value of an exact test statistic? Does it make any sense to compare p-values calculated using Fisher’s test and other approximate tests, say t-test, z-test? submitted by /u/this_nicholas [link] [comments]
