Inverse Square Law

Hi all,

Working on a project for a local science fair, I’ve been using the inverse square law to calculate stellar distances. I attempted to re-arrange the formula, but unfortunately logarithms are not in our school curriculum. If anyone could check I’ve not made any mistakes here it would be greatly appreciated and would save my science fair project.

M-m = 5log(d/10)

5/(M-m) = log(d/10)

5 /(M-m) = log(d)-log(10)

(5/M-m)+log(10)=log(d)

10((5/(M-m)+log10)=d

I would appreciate any feedback, and sorry if it is hard to read.
