I am currently in high and school and wish to pursue a career in science. Whether chemistry, physics biology or math I’m not sure, though biology has always been my favourite. A burning question I have though is what mathematics is life in university compared to high school. I have heard that high school math is “arithmetic” and university leaves math is “real math” or that high school is computational and university math is based on theory and proofs. How important is simplifying equations in university? How does it compare? Currently I haven’t even taken a calculus coarse yet so I am kind of in the dark, hence this post. Thank you for answering any questions I may have.
