Why is large amounts of torque more rough on an engine at lower rpm

Just got my car tuned and its hitting torque of 550 at the flywheel at about 3k rpm. Maxes out at 650tq at the flywheel. Main reason is I’m running a catless downpipe so I hit peak boost real quick down low.

Tuner said on the way out he wouldn’t recommend hard throttling lower than 3k rpm since its its rough on the engine low end torque.

Car is a 2013 sti running full catless exhaust and intake.
