I live in Minnesota where summer temperatures regularly reach 90+ F. I’m researching intercoolers for my hypothetical next ride (’15 A3) to help deal with the summer heat. APR’s charts show their solution keeps intake temps down pull after pull, stationary, in the Dyno. But I can’t find any data on temps in a situation where you have air flow.
The lack of data is making me think that a performance intercooler is only useful in drag racing or other low-airflow situations, which I’m not interested in, and the benefits are greatly reduced to being not worth it in situations where the car is moving and air is flowing over the radiator constantly.
