So I grew up and learned in cars without ABS, and I have heard multiple confilicting answers.
But in emergency situations on modern cars equiped with ABS, is it ALWAYS best to brake full-force and let the ABS do it’s thing. Or maybe if it’s rainy or snowy you don’t full-force brake as ABS won’t be able to cope and you still lock up. That in situations like that it’s better to gently press it, so you don’t lock up and then continue to have control to steer.
Let’s say hypothetically this is in a completely straightaway brake test.
